We finally got snow.  Only 6-8 inches, but that was enough for the schools to be closed today, and for the Fly boys to go out for some outdoor winter fun - sledding, snowball fights, playing in the snow fort, etc.  It was D's first time sledding.  The last time we had snow, D had a cold so he had to stay indoors.  This is one of the things I really enjoy about working from home.  On short notice, I can just change my plans and spend time with the family.  I was originally planning to squeeze in 4-5K hands while the boys were at school, but the way I've been running and playing lately, I probably saved myself some money.

Barring some extraordinary lethargy in the next few hours or Mrs. Fly making me a "better offer," I'll probably play in my first tournament of 2010.  Full Tilt has a $216 buy-in, $1million guaranteed prize pool tournament tonight.  First place is a minimum of $171K (depending on the number of entrants).  There's another tournament an hour earlier with a $163 entry ($35K first place), so I'll try that one as well.

I finally received my computer speakers today.  Really?!?  5 days after I write that post on how slow FT store is?  I'm guessing after I wrote that blog post, FT management got together and had the following conversation "Damn!  That Doublefly is on to us and our Rube Goldberg machines, and he told everyone else about it!  Let's doomswitch him to teach him a lesson! Oh, but he generates so much rake that we need him not to go busto to keep making money for us.  So we'll doomswitch him for a little while and ship him his precious speakers.  Mu ha ha ha."  Or maybe I need to stop watching TV.

Edit: I busted out of both tournaments with nothing to show for it.  What a shocker.  I'm just thankful that it was all over after a merciful 2.5 hours.  It was still aggravating, but I'm going to devote a few hours to tournament "study" and call it a day.  I'm up a small amount in cash games for the second day in a row, and sometimes after a horrific day like Monday/Tuesday, it's nice to get some small wins back.
