In case you were wondering, No - I'm not dead.  I've just about recovered from the long road trip.  I started playing again on a European site and am either playing awesomely, running like God, or a little of both.  Texas is awesome and family life is back to normal.  I have a bunch of stuff I want to write about, including my trip report, playing poker as a profession, hand histories, the state of poker, ... you know - the usual stuff.

But it turns out it is nearly impossible to happily blog while my kids are in the house all day.  That tranquil moment in the morning where you are happily sipping your coffee goes completely out the window when you have two kids in the house.  I had forgotten that both kids were at day camp last summer.  And the evening when I would sit down with a glass of wine and blog goes out the window because I'm too friggin' tired to do anything but sleep.  As it is I'm on breakfast duty tomorrow so I need to get my sleep now; the kids are going to wake me up when they get hungry so we can go eat.  Our male bonding meal, if you will.

The good news is that the boys start school next Monday.  The bad news is that that's still another week away, and my next post may not be for another week and a half.  But I should be back to my 1-2x a week blogging schedule.  Unless I think of some other lazy excuse.  :-)  See you then!
